Leading with Purpose, Inspiring Lifelong Learning
At St Martins Lutheran College, learning is a dynamic, student-centred journey. Through thoughtful planning, innovative practice, and evidence-informed teaching, we strive to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that support every student to flourish.
Our Learning, Teaching and Innovation team works across Reception to Year 12, partnering with educators, leaders, students, and families to continually strengthen learning outcomes and student wellbeing. We are committed to fostering excellence, building staff capacity, and supporting responsive, future-focused practice in every classroom.
Our teaching and learning practices are guided by the St Martins Teaching and Learning Principles, which reflect our commitment to quality, equity, and continual improvement. These principles shape a shared understanding of effective teaching, ensuring consistency and clarity across all year levels.
Our teaching and learning programs are guided by the Australian Curriculum (Reception to Year 10) and the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in Years 11 and 12. Grounded in our core values of respect, compassion, and growth, we aim to nurture confident, capable learners with strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. Our students are encouraged to think critically, explore creatively, and engage deeply with their learning. Through the use of digital technologies, design thinking, and tailored support, we create inclusive, future-focused classrooms where every student is empowered to succeed.
As a Lutheran Christian school, our teaching is guided by faith, centred on strong relationships, and informed by an understanding of the whole child. We believe that every student is capable and unique, and we celebrate the diversity they bring to our learning community.
Our work is closely connected with the College’s Inclusion and Diversity, and Future Pathways programs. Together, we aim to empower all learners to grow in confidence, realise their potential, and pursue their goals both at school and beyond.
