Students explore and enjoy coastal town
On Wednesday of Week 9, the Year 11 Tourism class travelled to Robe to investigate the impacts of tourism on the town and to evaluate the sustainability of Robe as a tourist destination.
While there, Camille from the Robe Tourist Information Centre spoke to the class to provide insights into how the town has benefited from tourism and also some of the downsides. The class then completed a scenic walk of the marina, coastal views, the Obelisk and the ruins of the Old Gaol. Some of the students thought that Miss Ferraro set the pace a bit too fast, so a cool off with Robe’s famous homemade icecream was definitely needed. The weather was lovely and the class had a fantastic day enjoying the sun and beautiful ocean.
