In Week 6, schools from across South Australia will be competing in a Virtual Cross Country. This is where Schools are holding their own competition within the confines of their school, and then comparing (as accurately as possible) to students in the same category, of the same distance.

St Martins held their competition on Tuesday 2 June, which consisted of U13’s, U14’s, U15’s, U16’s and Open Boys and Girls running two laps of a 1500m course. The course followed the perimeter of the College, which included challenging hills and terrain, through paddocks, bitumen, grass and gravel, and a total elevation gain of 50m over the entire 3km run.

It was great to see a near 50 competitors over the Middle and Senior School challenge themselves in some dreary weather, with personal bests, and excellent times in each category.

Thank you to Ms. Irvine, Ms. Cunningham, and students who helped marshal and cheer on the students throughout the day.
