In Week 3, the College’s Year 11 students attended the annual Tertiary Education Camp in Adelaide. This camp gives our students the opportunity to find out more about university options and to see campuses, accommodation and support services firsthand. Students travelled to Flinders University for a presentation, tour and workshops. The groups visited UniSA to view the campus at City East, and to find out more about what’s involved in making the decision to study at university. It was then onto the University of Adelaide to investigate course offerings and tour student facilities. At each of the universities, our Year 11’ s heard from current students about their experiences. Lincoln College, Aquinas College and St Marks welcomed the groups for dinner and a tour on the second night. Our students were excited to meet up with several Old Scholars who shared their stories and discovered what residential college life was all about It wasn’t all information-gathering, however – our Year 11’s had time for shopping, a trip on the tram to Glenelg and an obligatory visit to the Adelaide Central Market and BOUNCEinc! Thank you to Flinders University, UniSA, the University of Adelaide, Lincoln College, Aquinas College and St Marks College for their time and their hospitality.
