For two weeks, Eleanor swapped her textbooks for hands-on experiences, immersing herself in Costa Rican culture and conservation efforts. She earnt her Scuba Diving Certification, while exploring vibrant coral reefs and even completed a bioluminescent night dive.
As the only Australian among 11 international students, Eleanor embraced local life, from enjoying traditional foods to collecting water from the well each morning. She made a real difference in the community by participating in environmental clean-up projects and working with endangered sea turtles.
Eleanor has her sights set on pursuing a Bachelor of Wildlife and Marine Conservation at the University of Adelaide.
