Recently, the College’s Year 11 Food and Hospitality students created their own business “Café SMLC”!
The group prepared and produced café styled food and beverages to sell to the students and staff at St Martins. The items on offer included focaccias, toasted sandwiches, smoothies, fresh juice and an assortment of cakes and slices.
Mrs Polomka supervised the students as they utilised the College’s new commercial kitchen facilities. She stated that this was a great way for the students to gain valuable skills in customer service and time management.
Café SMLC was a great success! They received rave reviews from the customers and we hope to see the pop-up shop running again soon.
