Full time ongoing position

The College invites applications from passionate candidates for the newly created position of Director of Ministry.  The Director of Ministry will form part of the College Executive and is an exciting opportunity to oversee the ministry of the College community.

St Martins is a rapidly growing Foundation to Year 12 Co-educational Christian College located in the beautiful city of Mount Gambier, South Australia. The College is part of the St Martins community of church, college and kindergarten. As a Christ-centered learning community we endeavor to foster excellence by nurturing each child’s potential, within a safe and caring environment.

The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications and experience, a heart for Christian Ministry, a passion for developing community and a genuine interest in working with children and young people. Applicants must be committed team players who are keen to contribute to the ongoing development of a busy school. A willingness to play an active role in the school’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programs is essential.

The position will commence in January 2020.

School Receptionist

Ongoing Position
Fulltime for 45 weeks of the year
To commence on 16 September 2019
Salary Range $60,143 – $62,651 pa FTE

Applications are invited from enthusiastic candidates for the role of School Receptionist.  The position is responsible for providing friendly, welcoming and high-quality customer service to the College community. The role encompasses managing front desk enquiries, incoming phone calls, word processing, data entry, report generation, database management, photocopying, filing and other general administrative tasks.  The School Receptionist is also required to provide first aid to students and staff.

The successful applicant will:

Be very organised, flexible and enjoy administrative challenges.
Be proficient with technology.
Have a genuine interest and empathy when interacting with children.
Have a current Responding to Abuse and Neglect certificate (or be willing to obtain).
Have a current South Australian Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain before employment).
Have first aid qualifications to a level of HLTAID004 (or be willing to obtain).
Have communication and interpersonal skills appropriate to a school setting.
Have experience in a school environment (desirable but not essential).
Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the College.
