NAIDOC Week saw students complete cooking and craft activities
Students across all year levels were able to enjoy some activities to recognise and celebrate NAIDOC Week 2020.
Class-room activities included making and eating bush-tucker pizzas and creating ‘stained glass’ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.
A group of students from Years 6 – 10 viewed Nunga Screen 2020 at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre and some students in Years F – 4 visited Landscape SA to see and talk about the ‘yuki’ that is on display there. A yuki is the Boandik term for ‘canoe’ and is made from the bark of a redgum, located in Kalangadoo.
