Over the course of Week 5, students participated in special activities to celebrate National Reconciliation Week. Uncle Ken Jones began the week with a Welcome to Country, and visited the Junior school classrooms, telling wonderful Indigenous stories. The Middle and Senior school students both took part in cooking with an Indigenous focus. The Middle school students made lemonade scones with strawberry gum, while the Senior students attempted an outback burger and sandalwood and custard cake with tanami apples and bush pears. A group of students also attended the Nunga Screen at Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre.
